2 page personal narrative essay

Evaluating Web Sources: Is It FLAWED? Choose 2 things that could go in the same category, but are 2 page personal narrative essay quite different.

Gather your ideas by writing down characteristics of each thing. Note the differences and similarities between them. Does my instructor want me to compare AND contrast, or am I only being asked to do one of those things? Some instructors prefer that you only write about the differences between two things, while others want you to focus on explaining the similarities as well. Either way, you’ll need to make sure that your thesis statement reflects your instructor’s expectations. We all know that horses are larger than cats. We also know that basketball teams contain less players than football teams.

It would be better to write about how sensitive both horses and cats are to human needs and emotions. You could also suggest that though both basketball and football require a lot of teamwork, basketball players are expected to be a lot more versatile than football players. 2 things that you feel comfortable discussing, at length. Your instructor may ask for multiple similarities and differences–make sure you’re prepared to write a well-developed, meaningful essay on a topic that you know well before you get started! We were living in West Jordan, Utah and I was in the fifth grade. We moved into our house in West Jordan when I was about two months old.

I had lots of good friends that I had been around my entire life. I had lived my whole life in that house and I did not want to leave what I had always known. My dad had a job that required him to travel around and look at houses as they were being built. Somehow the idea jumped into his head that he wanted to move. In the beginning, it was just a crazy idea to me and I thought there was no way that we would ever move.

As time went on, this idea became a harsh reality. My dad began to look at different properties all around Utah and Salt Lake County. I didn’t want to think about moving. I just kept telling myself that it was never going to happen. It was going to be extremely hard to leave everything behind in West Jordan and move to a new place.

I had never moved in my life, so I didn’t know what to think. The hardest part about moving was going to be leaving my best friend and next door neighbor, Jordan. Every day after school I would call Jordan and we would play football in our neighbor’s yard. We would even play when there was a foot of snow on the ground. We also played other sports like basketball, street hockey, and soccer. I always had thought that our lives in West Jordan were perfect and nothing needed to be changed. I was upset at my parents for taking us to this new place that we knew nothing about.
